My name’s Michael David Larsen and I’m the owner of Simplybutterflies.org, I also own a stake in Simply Butterflies, a family owned Butterfly ranch. Myself and my family have raised butterflies for well over 20 years now! We mainly raise Monarch's, and Swallowtails, but we have raised pretty much every species native to the United States / Europe. I am pouring all of my time and energy into the content of this site, and will not stop until I feel
someone can use my website to learn everything there is to know about the Monarch and other butterfly species our family has experience with. I absolutely love it. What drove me to start this website is just the sheer lack of knowledge on the internet. When you search for something on google all that comes up are old websites, or educational websites with no flavor, I aim to change that. I also want to bring awareness to the Monarch Butterfly Conservation effort, as the Monarch is currently Endangered as well as its host plant, Milkweed. This is all due to habitat destruction, pollution, and lack of awareness. If we don't fix this they will go extinct, and I REFUSE to allow that to happen.
